The Temple Mount

The Temple Mount is run exclusively by the Arabs.  They have full say about visitors coming onsite.  First view (to the right) upon entering area:

Looking back at entrance to Temple Mount, we see Ben posing for the camera:

The Al Aqsa Mosque to the right (south side) of temple mount area:

Looking north from the al aqsa mosque:

The laver used by moon-god worshippers.  Muslims love the color green.  Of no scriptural significance.

Steps and a gateway arch leading to the top porch:

The shiqqutz shomeim (abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet)

From the north looking back southwest with shiqqutz on left.  The temple area porch was rather large:

North of the shiqqutz, looking from east to west.  The panel may be a significant element of the real temple of Herod.  The Dome of the Spirits in the distance is thought to be the actual location of the holy of holies.
